The Franklin County Mosquito Control District has detected a positive West Nile virus pool of mosquitoes in Franklin County Washington.  The mosquitoes tested were trapped in the Basin City area.  District staff are making every effort to protect the health and welfare of Franklin County residents against the spread of West Nile virus.

Please take precaution if you must be outside at dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active, make sure to wear a long sleeve shirt and pants as well as a CDC approved mosquito repellent.  If there are questions or concern, please contact the District at (509) 545-4083.
